As a bonus article to close out the year I’d like to share the top 5 books that I read in 2018. According to Goodreads I finished the year completing 30 books. A lot of it was some nerdy sci-fi and fantasy fluff but I read some quality material as well. You can check out my reading challenge here.
- After the Prophet by Lesley Hazelton – A condensed history of Islam that brings today’s social and Western policy issues into context.
- The Millionaire Next Door by Thomas J. Stanley – This book gave me the foundation into my financial security and wealth accumulation mindset.
- Norse Mythology by Neil Gaiman – A great piece of storytelling blending Norse mythology with a modern prose.
- Empire of the Summer Moon by S.C. Gwynne – Eye opening first hand accounts of Western interactions with Native American tribes on the North American prairie.
- Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind by Yuval Noah Harari – Great narrative on both the biological and cultural revolutions of humans.
